Shortwave
AI-native email client with agents that answer questions across your inbox and write replies in your voice.
Shortwave is an AI-native email client with agents that answer questions across your inbox and write replies in your voice. Founded by the team behind Google Inbox and provides an AI-native email client.
About Shortwave
Shortwave is an AI-native email client whose agents answer questions across your inbox and draft replies in your voice. It was founded by the team behind Google Inbox.
Its edge is agent-driven inbox work: the AI summarizes threads, answers questions spanning your whole inbox, and drafts replies based on your prior email history rather than a generic template. It is cross-platform, available on web, iOS, and Android.
It fits people who live in email and want an assistant that reads across the whole inbox on any device. It is a weaker fit if you need the top AI features for free or want to run your own stack: the free tier caps advanced AI features and message volume, and it is closed-source and cannot be self-hosted.
Compared with a standard mail app, Shortwave is built around AI agents and cross-inbox answers rather than being a client you bolt an assistant onto.
